Qualifications Must be flexible, highly self-motivated, and dedicated to quality task completion Cooperation and Teamwork is a must High school Diploma or equivalent formal education, or one or more years with medical bill review and/or medical bill coding preferred Ability to compose and submit short written responses via Email using the prescribed formats and basic rules of grammar.

Professional comportment, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and pleasant demeanor are a must Routine use of Microsoft Windows application programs and Internet Based Applications.

Basic use of Microsoft Office applications, (WORD/EXCEL/OUTLOOK) is desirable Responsibilities Trainee will become familiar with all contracted vendors and their respected programs Introduction to state mandated allowances for reimbursement of services including but not limited to mileage; prescription and production of medical record fees Apply pay codes to services rendered and follow all company policies on processing payments in the Straight Pay Queue Trainee will be able to accurately match provider payment with corresponding Explanation of Benefits by assuring claim number, provider name, and reimbursement amounts are reflected correctly Perform all tasks in accordance with processes established in Sarbanes Oxley Work Flows May be required to cross train in other areas as needed or assist training of co-workers Performance of additional duties may be required as directed by the supervisor Maintain confidentiality at all times Follow all rules, policies, procedures, and guidelines of AMERISAFE and of the claims department Foster the AMERISAFE culture by embracing the pillars of consistency, focus, frugality, ownership and service 06022021
