DescriptionSummary:The SPD Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the decontamination, cleaning, maintaining, handling, storing, and/or sterilizing of surgical instruments and powered equipment according to AORN and AAMI recommended practices for the Surgery department as well as other departments in the hospital where operative and other invasive procedures may be performed.
The SPD Team Leader supervises and coordinates the daily operations of the SPD department.
