DescriptionSummary:Working under the supervision of a nurse, the Certified Nurse Assistant II acts as the primary clerical resource for the unit as well as performs various patient care activities.

This is a dual role position which functions as a Certified Nurse Assistant and a Unit Secretary.

This position serves as an important link in the communication chain ensuring information is transmitted between nursing personnel, other hospital personnel, physicians, patients, family members and guests.CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Kleberg is a premier medical facility found in a town known for its ranching history and rich in Texas culture in Kingsville, Texas.

Licensed for 100 beds, the hospital is a Level IV Trauma Center general acute care facility offering complete Medical and Surgical Services including Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Skilled Nursing, as well as, Emergency, Intensive Care, Cardiac and Comprehensive Diagnostic Services serving the resident of Kleberg, Brooks, Kennedy and southern Nueces counties.Kleberg Med/Surg Telemetry/Pediatrics is a 32-bed Unit.

We take care of patients from infants, to end of life Geriatric.

We have very few pediatric patients annually, compared to the majority of our patients who are Cardiac and Telemetry.

We also take care of Post-Operative and General Med/Surg patients.

Previous experience as a Nurse Assistant/Unit Secretary in a hospital setting preferred.

Working knowledge of medical terminology preferred.Current Texas CNA CertificationCPR (American Heart Association)
