Position : Charge Nurse
– Registered Nurse (RN) Department : Emergency Department Location : St.
Vincent’s St.
Clair – Pell City, AL Shift : Full Time – Day Shift – 6a to 6p

We offer 24-hour emergency care services for a variety of critical medical conditions, illnesses and injuries.
We are a level 3 Stroke Center.

As our emergency nurse, you’ll have the opportunity to work as part of an important medical team to assist patients facing injuries and sudden serious illnesses.
You will work alongside other emergency medical professionals in a team environment.
Additionally, as an emergency nurse you will usually treat patients from all different socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds.

Provides general emergency care on site Rural feel with excellent staff for all that have medical needs.
Can be cared for without having to drive to downtown Birmingham.
What You Will Do Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in assigned area.
Assign, direct, educate and monitor nursing and support staff during assigned shift.
Contribute to or perform performance evaluations of staff.
Assess daily patient care needs and develop and distribute patient care assignments, ensuring that population appropriate patient care is given.
Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.
Responds to complaints about patient care and manage through established channels.
May provide input for hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating of staff.
What You Will Need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
Work Experience: 1 year of experience required.
