Proposal Writer/Specialist (Proposal Management-APMP)The Proposal Writer/Specialist (Proposal Management-APMP) is responsible for writing RFP/RFI responses for multiple assigned solution areas.
Candidate will manage the organizations end-to-end proposal process from pre-proposal planning through proposal delivery and support of post-submittal deliverables, that align with APMP best practices.
He/She will develop and maintain the proposal plan, manage the proposal schedule, organize proposal resources, coordinate team inputs and reviews, identify and support resolution of proposal development issues, oversee production of proposal deliverables, and facilitate proposal follow-up.What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?He/she leads RFPs and RFI responses and proactive proposals of all levels for assigned solution areas, including most complex proposalsManage up to three proposals at a time, including complex proposals.Lead process including conducting calls and writing executive summaries.Use other team members and contractors as available to maximize efficiency of process and most appropriate use of resources.

Proposal Writer is the lead.Ensure that all documented processes and best practices are followed throughout proposal development, including writing RFP summary and running complexity and bid/no-bid calculators; preparing a schedule with responsibilities assigned; creating first draft and routing for review; delivering in accordance with requirements; archiving and updating the database; and holding debriefs asrequiredCollaborates on cross-solution area proposalsResponsible for learning primary and secondary products and subsequently updating department’s knowledge database Proposal Writer/Specialist maintain proposal readiness in multiple assigned solution areasProactively develops knowledge of solutions and relationships with subject matter experts and share knowledge across team.Updates database regularly based on training, product updates, and recent and vetted proposal responsesMaintains SME/reviewer resource spreadsheet in assigned areaProposes and leads operational and strategic initiatives to improve proposal team contributions to the business.Participates in Sales Enablement and Operations projects as assigned.
What are the requirements needed for this position?Six+ years of experience in a writing, editing, or project coordination capacityExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, including in-person, telephone, and emailExceptional writing and editing skillsStrong organizational skills, attention to detail and process, and good follow-up skillsAbility to learn new processes and subject matter quicklyProficiency in Microsoft Word (intermediate to expert) especially as relates to styles and Microsoft ExcelAbility to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and re-prioritize work as needed around deadlines What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?Proposal writing experience preferredAbility to create basic graphics a plusHealthcare knowledge helpful, but not requiredKnowledge of SharePoint helpful, but not requiredKnowledge of Sales Force helpful, but not requiredAssociation of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) certification a plusBachelors degree.
