They are a leader within the greater Medical Affairs team.

The Head of MSL will be familiar with current best practices of post-transplant patient management, utilizing their background in transplant patient care and the use of laboratory tests in patient management to provide ongoing education, training, and leadership for the Medical Science Liaison Team.

Additionally, they will collaborate with the Medical Director’s assigned projects to the MSL team.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:Supervise a team of Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs).

Provide ongoing education, training and leadership.

Collaborate with the Medical Director to assign projects to the MSL team.Develop strong and productive working relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the field of transplantationHelp analyze, interpret, and clarify client transplant test results in conjunction with other clinical dataProvide on-site clinical support at transplant centers through oral presentations, test result data reviews and interactive resolution of clinician queriesAssist new product development teams in defining unmet needs, product performance requirements, and launch plansProvide clinical support for Customer Service inquiries and complaintsParticipate in Medical Advisory Board meetings with KOLsParticipate in Clinical Workshop meetings with KOLsSupport company initiatives at clinical and scientific meetingsFunction as a clinical liaison and resource to payer and insurance groupsSupport Clinical Operations as needs with field support at transplant centers participating in Client sponsored trialsQualificationsQualifications:Health care professionals with relevant clinical sciences knowledge in (kidney and heart preferred) organ transplantation will be considered: Pharm D, PhD, or MD.Experienced Leader with 3-5 yrs.

managing direct reports, building teamsPrior experience in MSL role required and the introduction of new clinical laboratory tests preferredPortfolio of presentations and publicationsAbility to explain how client test scores can be used and added to the milieu of other available clinical data, interpret clinical scenarios, and communicate diagnostic and management issues in transplant recipientsExperience in establishing strong, collaborative working relationships with cliniciansExperience in establishing strong, collaborative working relationships with internal stakeholder functions (e.G.
