Position Summary
Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare provides inpatient, residential, PHP, and IOP services. The Clinical Practice Director will be responsible for the clinical operations of an office for Odyssey Outpatient Network, located in Glen Allen, VA (Richmond). The Clinical Practice Director role consists of approximately 50% of time providing direct clinical care to clients receiving psychotherapy in our PHP and IOP programs. The remaining 50% involves operational duties including clinical supervision, developing and/or improving group curriculum, and other clinical and administrative duties.
Position Responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities:
- Conducts intake screenings and assessments.
- Collaborates with the individual, family and/or support people, and the multidisciplinary treatment team to develop and update a cohesive individualized treatment plan.
- Provides psychotherapy (individual, group, and family) services that support the individual’s goals and objectives as outlined in their treatment plan.
- Collaborates with Regional Executive Director / Executive Director in new business development, networking, and outreach strategies in support of the office.
- Coordinates day-to-day clinical operations to achieve goals and ensures smooth and efficient functioning to meet the requirements of the office.
- Oversees weekly group assignments and topics to ensure balanced therapist workloads and programming tailored to current cohort needs.
- Works closely with clinicians ensuring excellence in clinical delivery in accordance with established guidelines and program philosophy.
- Ensures the development, implementation, and enforcement of all clinical policies and procedures, including patient rights.
- Promotes systems of communication and collaboration between admissions, and clinical operations.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with physicians, referral sources, families, and other stakeholders.
- Provides coaching and feedback for clinical staff development and performance improvement.
- Supports clinical team to meet documentation and utilization review deadlines and requirements.

Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience
Position requires a Master’s Degree and LCSW or LPCC and a minimum of 5 years of related leadership experience in a behavioral healthcare setting. Experience working in a corporate managed healthcare environment strongly preferred.
