Please email Lori Velasco, Physician Recruiter: lori.velascoatlantichealth.org.ResponsibilitiesThe Physician shall work in partnership with the other faculty members to provide an educational environment for the residents.

This shall include, but not be limited to, preparing and presenting didactic lectures, curriculum development and oversight, participating in faculty meetings, residency committees and resident advisor responsibilities including evaluations.

Physician will spend approximately 50% of their time delivering inpatient care on the Overlook Family Medicine residency teaching service.Physician will spend approximately 50% of their time in the outpatient setting (precepting residents, teaching medical students, SAR rounding).

Physician shall provide all appropriate primary care services within the scope of the Physician’s license, including but not limited to:ïMaintain the standard of care for the delivery of primary careïMeet all Joint Commission and other regulatory requirementsïObtain complete history and record findings in a systematic formatïPerform complete physical assessmentsïOrder, perform and interpret routine laboratory testsïOrder medications and or medical devices as neededïEnsure that appropriate preventative medicine testing is conducted on a routine basisïConduct appropriate follow up to ensure appropriate levels of patient care QualificationsBoard certification (ACOFP or ABFM) with minimum of 5 years experience at the Graduate Medical Education level.

The candidate should have experience in hospital-based medicine, geriatrics and/or hospice/palliative care.
