The Associate therapist is responsible and accountable for providing information and practical support to child and adolescent Ohana patients and their families when they present with complex psychiatric and related psycho-social problems.
The Ohana therapist may provide intake evaluations and individual, family, and group therapy to children, adolescents and their families.
Additionally, the Associate therapist will be responsible for assisting in implementing aspects of various grant programs or ancillary programs.

Finally, the Associate therapist provides mental health education to patients and, as appropriate, to the community and other professionals.
Other important dimensions of this position include commitment to continuous learning, innovation, quality of care and outcomes measurement, professionalism, and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
Must have strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, curiosity and comfort prioritizing safety and quality of care.
Experience and Skills: Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in therapy with children, adolescents and families.
Training in either Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is preferred.
Training in evidence based treatments for Substance Use Disorders (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Enhancement Therapy or Contingency Management) and certification in said therapy is preferred.
Education: Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work, Counseling or Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy Licensure/Certifications: LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC eligibility is preferred.
ASW’s, AMFT, APCC status is required.
American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.
MOAB certification must be obtained within the first 6 months of hire.
Certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or other evidence-based therapy for children or adolescents preferred.
Will complete mandatory 5150 training by Monterey County to obtain 5150 certification and obtain 5150 Professional staff authorization yearly.
