nn nn What you will do: nn nn The Associate Clinical Laboratory Director performs a variety of functions as a part of the Clinical Operations Team. nn Work collaboratively with an exceptional team of scientists, genetic counselors, clinical laboratory directors and bioinformaticians to analyze and report on clinical molecular data.
Review and sign out clinical cases.
Provide consultations on results for referring physicians and genetic counselors.
Support internal and external company initiatives.
Provide clinical and technical expertise in support of new initiatives relevant to clinical testing.
Seek and support new and innovative ways to provide best in class service to Invitae clients.
nn Who you are: nn Qualified as a Director for high complexity testing under CAP.
M.D.
or Ph.D.
in a biological science field with ABMGG or CCMG board certification in Clinical Molecular Genetics is required. Experience in molecular testing for immunological, pediatric, metabolic disorders or reproductive health is preferred but not required.
Eligible for California Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist ( CGMB ) or California Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist Scientist ( CGMBS ) licensure required.
Experience with sequence and copy number variant interpretation and next-generation sequencing.
A strong collaborative spirit and a willingness to learn.
High attention to detail Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Superior oral and written communication skills.
Ability to contribute and leverage your expertise across a wide variety of project types.
