Description:American Health Imaging is looking for a Regional Lead Tech to support the Alabama region including: Birmingham, Huntsville, Montgomery, and Tuscaloosa.
This position is full time.The Regional Lead Technologist is responsible for supporting the Alabama Region by:Center Leader Coordination:Work in conjunction with Alabama Region center leaders to coordinate technologist schedules when primary resource is unable to fulfill shift responsibility due to illness, PTO or absence due to other circumstancesWork hand in hand with center leaders to drive a positive culture within Alabama Region centers by assisting in achievement of scan volume budget attainment and maintaining a positive work environment between technologist and PSR staff.Leverage experience to inspire and motivate technologist team members towards center goal achievementMaintaining and improving the quality of technologist imaging across all centers through:Onsite and remote training of new and existing technologistsMonitoring image quality of all exams across Alabama Region CentersOptimizing and standardizing protocols across Alabama Region Centers in conjunction with fellow regional lead technologistsServing as key point of contact for technical and clinical questions from Alabama Region TechnologistsProvide specific training for PRN Technologist staff to ensure consistent image quality across OIS AHI CentersPreparation and delivery of clinical and technical education for technologists and commercial team (Tech Talks).Protocol Standardization and Image Quality:Work with other regional lead technologists to maximize image quality while maintaining an average 30-minute exam time slotWork with other regional lead technologists to deploy fast scan protocols across AHI OIS in 2022.Randomly select images from each modality within Alabama region to ensure scan quality and proper protocol utilization per Radiologist or Radiologist Group.Provide one on one training for technologists requiring scan quality or protocol utilization improvementMRI Safety Coordination and Support:Ensure consistent execution of MR safety protocols across the Alabama RegionResearch Trials:Identify and train technologists to perform various research related exams to maximize image quality and limit rescanningAssist center technologists in building research trial protocolTrain center technologist on proper research protocol, image transfer and paperwork processOnsite Scanning:Fill in as acting day shift technologist if primary staff and PRN staff are unable to fulfill shift responsibilities.Radiologic Technologist School Coordination:Coordinate student schedules at chosen training centers within GA West RegionSign off on student performed scans and/or designate key technologist to sign off on student performed imaging scansAct as liaison between school and designated AHI training center.
