Dental Assistant (Bi-Lingual Spanish)Redondo Beach, CA 90278Full TimeCompensation: $18.00/hrDescription Supports the Dentist to provide affordable dental care to the underserved in our community.Prepares room for patient treatment before each patientAssists dentist at chair side (evacuation, mixing medications and amalgam,four-handed chair side technique, etc.)Cleans operators after each patient according to accepted infection control.Takes and develops dental X-rays as directed by dentist.Documents (probings, caries, etc.) in patients’ charts as directed byOperates and cleans sonic instrument cleaning machineBags instruments daily and operates autoclave daily.

Keeps daily records.Cleans autoclave monthly and keeps recordsMonitors autoclave with monthly spore sample.

Mails sample for testing.Monitors supplies inventory.

Keeps supplies orderly.

Keeps operatories stocked with supplies.Cleans self-contained water system with bleach weekly.

Keeps records.Replaces disinfectant solutions every four weeksFiles patients’ dental chartsAssists in coordinating patient appointments, confirmations and recalls.Maintain the strictest patient confidentiality, adhering to all HIPAA California and company guidelines/regulations.Performs other duties as assignedRequirementsCertificate from an accredited Dental Assisting ProgramHigh School diploma or GED high school equivalencyState of California Radiation Safety Certificate requiredCurrent CPR/Basic Life Support CardDental Office experience preferred.Bilingual (Spanish/English) RequiredAbility to perform assigned responsibilities with established guidelines in an organized, efficient mannerFlexibility with work schedules and sitesAdditional Information Full Time, M-F Monday Wednesday and Friday 8am-4:30pm Tuesday and Thursday 9am 5:30 pm
