This position is over mammography, bone density, ultrasound and Radiology nurses.
Position Requirements:ARRT Registered in Radiography and at least one other modality (CT, MRI, NM, Mammo or Ultrasound) or ARDMS.
Prior healthcare leadership experience required.Certified and Registered by ARRT or ARMDS (Radiology)IEMA LicenseCurrent CPR certifiedPrevious healthcare leadershipDemonstrated technical skills with mammography equipmentKnowledge of film quality controlBasic computer skillsWorking knowledge of mammography operations and needsMust be flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing and fast paced environmentMust demonstrate confidence in one’s own ability and have a calming effect on patients and staffMust keep abreast of changes in regulatory requirements, including FDA, IEMA, ACR, and MQSA.Must understand and take seriously the social and psychological issues associated with mammographyMust engage in continual learning and review of new and emerging technologies and operational functions in a Mammography DepartmentMust be able to function in an environment with multiple physical movements that are repetitive in nature and associated ailments.Understand and operate safely with exposure to ionizing radiationAbility to travel to various sites for working and meetings as needed.Willing to work hours necessary to complete work assignments and to cover during absences if necessary.Purpose:To manage daily operations including the delivery of high quality, efficient, and cost effective services.
Ensure customer satisfaction, regulatory and accrediting requirements, adequate staff and supplies to meet clinical requirements, and efficient production, preparation, reporting and filming of patient records, images and documentation.
Assist with overall operational monitoring of Radiology.Accountabilities:Financial: Works with Department manager to prepare annual capital, personnel and operating budgets.Education: When necessary or appropriate, maintains and assists with appropriate educational issues and activities for the AMG West/Advocate and for professional growth and licensure requirements.Operational: Monitors and coordinates all aspects of the department to include workflow, procedure volumes, and charges to ensure maximum work output with a minimum of patient dissatisfaction.Personnel: Coordinates direct reports with regards to schedules, work assignments and quality improvement standards.Quality: Under the direction of the Radiology Practice Manager and Medical Director, Improvement maintains a Quality Improvement plan for the Department.Compliance: Assures compliance with all applicable Federal, State and Local governing body accreditation standards and requirements.
