This is a Contract position in Plainfield, IL posted November 27, 2021.

Position Requirements:Graduate from an accredited AMA School of Radiology.IDNS license.13 years experience as a general radiographer.Knowledge of Health Information System.Basic knowledge of radiology equipment.Certified in radiology and registered by ARRT.CPR certificationLicensed by IDNS.Able to make independent professional decisions pertaining to high quality patient care.High degree of technical skillsMust be able to function with minimal assistance in performing job activities.Ability to deal with extremely ill patients.Ability to lift and/or move patients.Ability to work under stressful conditions, in difficult situations.May be exposed to hazardous materials and lifethreatening diseases.Ability to work rotating shifts during Centers hours of operation.If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015.

Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance.

For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available.

Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a casebycase basis.Purpose:To perform routine and advanced radiographic procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illness and/ or injury to ensure patient safety and quality care.Accountabilities:Determination of appropriate radiological technique and position for patient using immobilization and support devices.Operation of advanced and sophisticated radiology equipment.Adherence to all accepted safety standards and practices to ensure patient safety and quality patient care.Coordination of quality control tasks.Provision of instruction and orientation to new technologists to effectively participate in the assessment of their performance reviews.
