Vice President – Global Public Relations

Responsibilities

As a Vice President of Global Public Relations with Hines, you will be responsible for development and execution of the overall public relations strategy for Hines.

The VP will develop, lead, and implement strategies to support the company’s brand, vision, purpose, and business goals.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

• Lead public relations for Hines, its regions, services, and properties.
• Help develop, distribute, and foster key external messaging.
• Build a diverse and modern media mix, including earned media coverage, contributed content etc.
• Manage a five-person Global PR Team to ensure consistency of Hines’s key messages across our markets.
• Proactive and reactive media management.
• Liaison with outside PR firms.
• Lead reputation management.
• Oversee and develop external executive communications providing counsel to executive leaders as needed and developing messaging to ensure they have a unified approach in sharing our strategy and goals consistently.
• Develop PR strategies that highlight Hines’s cultural and ESG initiatives, partnering with HR and ESG Teams to increase the depth of Hines’s brand in the market.
• Final approval of all employee-authored publications.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:

• Bachelors degree in Communications or related field from an accredited institution; Master’s degree in related field preferred.
• Ten or more years of experience in public relations or related field.
• Ability to build external communication strategies aligned to business strategy.
• Proven experience working with executive spokespeople.
