The position of Kidney Health Account Executive, Government Accounts will be responsible for the development, management, and implementation of sales strategies within the Federal Government Markets.

The primary objective of the field-based Kidney Health Account Executive, Government Accounts will be to implement strategies that develop and increase sales of current and future products.

The Kidney Health Account Executive, Government Accounts will be required to access and understand the complexities of the Federal Government markets including the VISNs, VAs, CBOCs, DOD, and the Indian Health Services as well as possess the ability to work effectively within these systems as it relates to their specific policies and procedures.

The position reports directly to the Regional Sales Director, Government Accounts.Primary ResponsibilitiesStrong understanding of the government healthcare industry, market imperatives, and trends for healthcare providers.Establish targeted federal accounts and strategic sales plans consistent with the company objectives; translate those plans into key performance objectives.Develop and maintain relationships ranging from Clinicians, Account Administrators, and Laboratory staff in addition to all appropriate medical staff.Work with and effectively leverage market access, medical affairs, client services, and other departments to achieve business goals.Responsible for new customer acquisition, sales strategy, and execution in federal accounts to drive sales profit and revenue.Develop relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and leverage their support with federal account targets.Lead cross-divisional efforts to improve overall success in the practice of Federal Account ManagementEngage in key account sales, business development, and ongoing customer success.Successfully launch in federal accounts through Clinician and staff education, workflow integration, phlebotomy solution, and consistent pull-through.

Required Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesBA/BS5+ years of successful Federal Government Healthcare Sales experience.Broad knowledge of general laboratory practices and the government laboratory landscape preferred.Demonstrated ability to launch new products within federal government accounts.Proven track record building territories from ground zero, meeting and exceeding sales objectives, and emphasizing development of client relationships.Experience in diagnostics or esoteric testing industry strongly preferred.Understanding of HIPAA compliance and confidentiality policies.Broad range of presentation skills including product positioning, clinical workflow integration, forecasting, and cost comparison modeling.Strong technology skills in Word/Excel/PowerPoint.Ability to travel 50%CharacteristicsExcellent time management, sales, and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work effectively under tight timelines and schedules; prioritize tasks & objectivesAbility to work independently and as a contributing team memberMust be flexible & innovativePassionate; high energyStrong verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skillsSelf-driven; Self-starter, motivated; independentAnalytical; problem-solver
