Public Works CAD Technician

Primary Function The right candidate must be familiar with the production of construction documents including plan and profile sheets, roadway and drainage plans, water and wastewater plans, site plans, diagrams, cross sections and supporting details for City, State and County infrastructure projects.

Also, must be proficient with MicroStation at a minimum.

Individual will carry out assignments for the Group Leader and Project Engineers throughout the organization with minimal supervision.

Primary Duties Responsible for the design of CADD plan layouts and drafting requirements of any roadway, drainage, water, or wastewater projects assigned Responsible for the record keeping and documentation of project requirements Responsible for plotting and checking drawings Make required modifications to drawings Responsible for batching sets of drawings and associated documentation.

Maintain appropriate file saving techniques to ensure the ability to reuse files as required Education and Experience Requirements Associates degree in drafting & design preferred but not required, High school diploma or equivalent 5-10 years of Civil Drafting experience using MicroStation Knowledge and experience with MicroStation V8i, Geopak or Open Roads.

Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D a plus Knowledge of Bentley Products and ArcGIS preferred Surveying experience is a plus Strong Computer Skills (MS Word, Excel, Project, etc.) Ability to effectively communicate, in English, both verbally and in writing An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our company culture is a must Why Ardurra?
