Scope: Provide airframe and powerplant technical expertise and support for the development and sustainment of the A/MH-6 aircraft technical manuals. Report to Technical Data Integration Manager. Interface and coordinate between user community, Technology Application Program Office (TAPO), Technical Data Development Cell (TDDC), ARSOAC Aviation Maintenance Directorate (AAMD), Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), and other contractors and vendors.
Responsibilities: (Not all encompassing)
– Review, critique and edit documentation for content, accuracy, and grammar on A/MH-6 aircraft systems
– Provide initial review and substantiation for all Special Operations Aviation Publication Change Requests (SOA PCR)
– Gather source documents and equipment specifications from OEMs and government agencies
– Review and analyze government furnished information (GFI) technical documentation e.g. vendor manuals, engineering drawings, and maintenance messages for incorporation into technical publications
– Direct involvement with the tabletop review and on aircraft verification of removal, installation, repair, troubleshooting, and inspection tasks
– Perform in-depth research to support content change and development
– Responsible for ensuring all material conforms to established standards and specifications
– May require limited domestic travel
Specific Skill Requirements
– Must be self-motivated with the ability to build relationships within the team dynamic

Job Requirements:
10 years of experience as a Helicopter Repair (MD H-500 series preferred)
– Special Operations Aviation experience is highly desired
– Technical Inspector / Quality Assurance experience desired
– Must be detail oriented, resourceful, and able to work independently with little supervision
– Must have excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills
– Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat
– Possess at least a Secret or ability to obtain an Interim Secret Security clearance
Salary range $68 – $71k per year
