Description of WorkSIGN-ON BONUSES NOW BEING OFFERED:LPN’s $3,000 bonusPosition is a Licensed Practical Nurse located at Central Prison Health Complex in Raleigh, NC which houses approximately 1,600 minimum, medium and close custody male offenders.
Position provides routine licensed practical nursing work in the care and treatment of patients, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, within a state correctional facility.
Responsible for providing direct nursing care to patients, within the scope of practice to include, but not limited to, the following duties: screening, observing and assessing patients, providing basic wound care and personal care to patients, delivering routine respiratory therapy and other treatments, catheter and colostomy care, collecting vital signs and specimens, preparing and administering medications, administering/interpreting TB skin tests, observing and recording pertinent patient information, responding to emergencies, and assisting the Registered Nurse and Physician, as required.
CPHC staffs for all shifts, availability of specific shifts will be discussed during the interview process.This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits.Note to Current State Employees:The salary grade for this position is GN08.

If selected for this position, a new salary will be recalculated taking into consideration the quantity of relevant education and experience, funding availability, and internal equity.
