Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: The Director Total Rewards will serve as the HR lead for end-to-end HR M&A planning and execution for transactions of different types and sizes from due diligence through integration in coordination with the HR Corporate and Field organizations.

The Director will partner closely with the Business Development team to support due diligence as well as integration activities.

This role requires a strong individual who has the ability to develop detailed plans, manage key milestones, and lead cross functional teams to ensure flawless execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Serve as the HR lead on M&A team meetings and serve as the liaison to various business groups (Compensation, Benefits, HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition , Payroll, HR Systems, etc) with respect to due diligence and integration activities to ensure all HR efforts are coordinated and executed appropriately. 
  • Coordinate and collaborate across functional organizations (Business Development, Finance, IT, Legal, etc.) in support of successful due diligence and integration activities. 
  • Develop and manage project plans, including the identification of resourcing needs.
  • Develop HR best practices that will be utilized during all merger and acquisition activities with a focus on continuous improvement of deal execution and integration processes. 
  • Analyze due diligence data to identify risk exposure and financial impacts in all areas of HR including compensation plans, benefit plans, retention, etc. 
  • Research and deliver strategic deal and integration recommendations and provide thought leadership to help drive effective people strategies during the M&A process to enable the business to execute on key objectives.
  • Ensure a smooth integration of all transactions into the organization by providing guidance on the integration of HR processes and procedures including compensation, benefits, payroll, HR Systems, etc.
  • Support Field Leadership/HR with employee integration activities including information sessions, communications, onboarding, etc.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure seamless coordination related to open requisitions, sourcing needs, etc. 
  • Assist in leading and supporting other Total Rewards initiatives and programs
  • as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to informally lead others
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Prior experience with mergers, acquisitions, divestures or joint ventures.
  • Prior experience in one or more of the following HR areas: HRBP, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, or Benefits. 
  • Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years human resources experience
