Waltonen Engineering: Mechanical Engineer – Brackets

Responsibilities:Engineering analysis/support of military vehiclesPrepare plans with detailed drawings that include project specifications and cost estimatesDesign and execute engineering experiments to create workable solutionsDevelop engineering calculations, diagrams and technical reportsComplete required technical and regulatory documentsEnsure projects are completed on-time and within the specified budgetPresent analysis results and project solutions to technical leads, senior leaders and clients as necessaryRequirements:Experience in vehicle component and/or systems experience preferredSpecific experience in structural engineering (body, chassis, frame, brackets, shelves, covers, etc.)Experience with Creo preferred but not mandatoryPrevious experience with defense/military vehicles preferred but not mandatoryBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degreeAt least 3 – 5 years related work experienceDemonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication, including creating and delivering presentationsAdvanced skills in critical software applications, such as Microsoft Office and CADExpertise in data and problem analysis, creative problem solving and design thinking
