Cisco Systems seeks a Technical Solutions Architect (TSA) for the Services Worldwide Activation Team (SWAT) to lead in designing, implementing, and deploying the Cisco Solutions. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and brings the industry, business, and technical skills necessary to work effectively with customers, Cisco partners and Cisco internal team members.
The TSA will be responsible for providing technical enablement and mentoring and assisting partner in enhancing their professional services to activate and deploy Cisco Solutions. The candidate must have demonstrated expertise with more than one of Cisco’s Architectural areas. The architectures primary knowledge would be Enterprise Networking (EN), Security, and Data Center Networking (DCN), as well as Software. The ideal candidate would have expertise across as many of these as possible. The IoT knowledge is preferred.
The TSA will work with partner and customer to understand the solution requirements, create the design, develop, and lead in executing the implementation strategy.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate mastery in these key responsibilities and competencies:
- Expertise with Solution selling to Enterprise and Corporate Line-of-Business as well as to traditional IT buying centers.
- Articulate the unique value of Cisco Solutions by itself or within a full multi-vendor solution.
- Ensure the architectural impact and capabilities of Cisco Solutions are understood and valued.
- Proven practical experience one or more of the following Cisco solutions: Cisco Software Defined Access (SD Access), Cisco Software Defined Wide Area Network (SD WAN), Cisco Wireless, Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI), and Cisco Security.
- Be able to lead technical trainings, workshops, test drives, and demos with a goal of educating and driving partner capabilities.
- Be able to lead in the discovery of the customer’s business requirements and map them to a technical solution.
- Contributing or participating in developing advanced lab scenarios for hosted on-demand SWAT and team lab.
- Lead in developing the team’s knowledge of Cisco Solution activation and deployment concepts.
- Have a base knowledge of Programmability and DevOps and Cisco API’s, Controllers, and SDK’s.
- Seek out opportunities to partner with and mentor less-experienced teammates and to share best practices to help strengthen the team’s capabilities.
- Professionally present to executive management.
Additional required knowledge/skills:
- Must have CCNP Enterprise , CCIE Enterprise Wireless , or CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure
- CCNP Security or CCNP Data Center is preferred
- Must have experience driving projects and programs, measuring performance and trends, and communicating cross-functionally.
- Ability to promote new and innovative approaches to addressing business challenges and problems.
- Review competitive solutions, technology, and product offerings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, adaptability and negotiation skills.
- Typically requires an Engineering/Computer Science degree.
- Additional routing and switching or security third party certifications are preferred but aren’t required.
- Ability to travel as required.
