POSITION DESCRIPTIONThe Tulane University School of Architecture is seeking one toTwo qualified candidates for the new Bachelor of Arts in DesignProgram beginning in the Fall of 2022.
This position is for aFull-time (non-tenure-track) Lecturer or Professor of Practice(POP).
We are seeking faculty members with professional experience inAny number of allied fields including (but not limited to): graphicDesign, industrial design, product design, fashion design orArchitecture.DESIGN AT TULANETulane University is a tier-one research institution located inNew Orleans.
The Bachelor of Arts in Design program, housed withinThe Tulane School of Architecture, focuses on relationships betweenDesign innovation and engagement with society, culture, and theBuilt environment.
The Bachelor of Arts in Design programEmphasizes design practice across disciplines, including and beyondArchitecture.

RESPONSIBILITIESThe new Lecturer/POP in Design will be responsible for teachingUp to 22 credits per year at the undergraduate level.
DutiesInclude teaching in the core design studios and curriculumDevelopment and teaching of advanced studios and seminars in theCandidate’s area of expertise.
Other duties include studentAdvising, program development, and service to the department andUniversity.
Lecturers/POPs within the School of Architecture serveOn school committees but are not required to submit a researchPackage for reappointment.
QUALIFICATIONSThe successful candidate must have a terminal degree in theirField of expertise and an active creative practice in theirDiscipline.

Prior teaching experience is preferred but notRequired.
