The Electrical Engineering Supervisor will lead a team of talented Electrical Engineers and Drafters in the design, development and support of controls systems used in the control of Timber Automations large lineup of forest products machinery.
Location Hot Springs, AR Job Type Full-time Job Summary Create project plans, provide general technical direction for the Electrical Engineering team and follow up to insure timely completion of assignments.
Track important performance metrics to ensure efficient operation of the team.
Serve as liaison among departments including manufacturing, engineering, project management, field support, and the customer.
The Electrical Engineering Supervisor leads strategic planning, customer communication, project management for controls solutions within the team, and insures the quality of the development process.
Provide leadership and day to day management across Electrical Engineering team Foster an effective team culture founded on innovation, creativity and collaboration Drive and provide leadership on the end-to-end project lifecycle, development methodologies and overall architecture Develop and implement project development plans, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure customer satisfaction by completing projects on time and on budget Contribute and actively engage in the review and design of projects, including technical review and requirements analysis Collaborate and consult closely with functional teams outside the Electrical Engineering group including Product Management, Sales, Controls Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Support Preferred Qualifications Include Project and team management experience Prior experience in Electrical Engineering and support Experience with Microsoft Office applications Microsoft Dynamics CRM experience is a plus Must be well organized and able to multitask Experience with forest products machinery is a plus Thorough knowledge of appropriate regulations, specifications and codes (customer specifications, NFPA 70E, NFPA79, CE, UL, and OSHA).
Education & Experience B.S.
Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred Minimum of 7 years experience in design, development, programming and commissioning custom automated equipment in an OEM environment.
Minimum 5 years experience preferred in timber / lumber industry.
