The **Technical Architect (TA)** is a Lead in the Professional Services Delivery team.
At this level it is expected that the incumbent will be an experienced Consultant/Architect and proficient at end-to-end Solution Architecture and Customer Engagement.
In this role, the incumbent will be expected to spend more than 70% of their time on-site with customers or working on customer-assigned work.Within the Professional Services team the TA will be highly skilled in Tableau-adjacent technologies that help Tableau integrate in a complex customer deployment.
Being a leadership role, the incumbent will regularly be the first to deploy a new offering and then enable others on the team to do so.A key aspect of Consulting at Tableau is nurturing customers to drive adoption and repeat purchases.
The TA is responsible for guiding the engagement to enable those objectives and providing feedback to the Sales teams about future opportunities.**Some of the things you’ll be doing include …**+ Become an expert in the features, benefits and application of Tableau’s products – Deep understanding of our Server product(s) and it’s integration into client solutions, and an intermediate level understanding of our Desktop/frontend product(s).+ Conduct needs analysis, data reviews, and product demonstrations.+ Become an expert in Tableau APIs and how to use them to provide solutions to customer issues.+ Conduct discovery exercises, build detailed implementation plans and coordinate the delivery of the solution.+ Communicate via phone, email, face-to-face and web meetings with customers, assisting and guiding them through the proposal and implementation process.+ Generate Pre-Engagements Brief and Post Engagement Summaries for customers.+ Provide ad-hoc onsite customer training and professional services.+ Provide billable Professional Services to Tableau customers+ Assist Professional Services Management and Sales with specific scoping or technical / guidance in pre-sales discussions.+ Help identify trends, training needs and new programs / services.+ Provide a broader appreciation of business issues and translate more complex customer requirements into achievable Tableau technical solutions that fall outside of native functionalities+ Build and maintain a library of reusable Service Delivery documentation and code (to include custom scripts and coding)+ Participate in or lead ad hoc side projects for the benefit of the worldwide Services Delivery organization.+ Mentor / coach other consultants.?**Who you are…**+ **Experienced** **.** Relevant experience in Consulting or Professional Services Delivery role in related industry.+ **Communication Finesse** .
Strong verbal and written communication of qualitative and quantitative business cases.+ **Technically Savvy** **.** You have strong technical skills across various technologies & impeccable business acumen.
Knowledge of databases, warehouses, business intelligence systems and data analysis tools.
Experience in SQL, SAML, network troubleshooting, AWS/Azure/Google Cloud, as well as architecting mission-critical systems for high availability, failover, disaster recovery, and redundancy.
Security hardening or application development skills in Python and/or JavaScript are also desirable.
