customer-oriented  Systems Engineer and Architecture Lead to join our team in Chantilly, VA.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Design, plan, and integrate VDI solutions with modern deployment techniques such as DevOps and/or DevSecOps.Develop automation scripts for efficient deployment and operations of cloud based VDI solutions.Evaluates and reports on new VDI and Mobility technologies to enhance capabilities of virtualized services.Implement Code First solutions using tools to support a SDDC/VCN that describe and document solutions, complementing the maturation of a CI/CD pipelineProvides IT Systems Engineering support on a wide range of technologies, including: Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SharePoint, Oracle databases, Microsoft SQL Server, Service Now, Altiris, Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, Adobe Acrobat, HBSS, Splunk, customer line-of-business applications, VMware vCenter, Horizon View, Site Recovery Manager, HPAC Secure Printing, HP Blade Servers, HP SANs, Certificate Services, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Group Policies and Microsoft Windows Operating SystemsDesigns and deploys enterprise level disaster recovery solutionsDesigns and deploys enterprise class SAN deployments and backup infrastructures, including Data-at-Rest encryptionDesigns and deploys new applications and services to the infrastructureImplements Code First solutions using Infrastructure as Code to describe and to document solutionsProvides systems integration using automated integrating technologies including system deployment leveraging a CI/CD pipelineDevelops automated tests using provided testing frameworkAssists Service Operations teams to diagnose and resolve the toughest performance, security, and/or technical challenges related to desktop support and deploymentsDevelops client install packages for across-the-wire system deployments and system upgradesWrites implementation and design documents describing how security features are implementedParticipates in a Change Management processPerforms requirements analysis, design, and integration for complex software application environments and collaboration infrastructuresProvides direction and guidance to less experienced systems engineersInvestigates and resolves operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnelParticipates in technology evaluation and reengineering teams to support strategy-definition and continuous process improvement activitiesDevelops, enhances, and maintains automation of cloud enablement toolsParticipates in the design, implementation and management of workload automation initiativesAdheres to firm Change Management, Problem Management policies and familiarity with ITIL or other formalized IT operations foundationsProvides direction and guidance to less experienced systems engineersBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree and 10-12+ years of relevant IT experience, or 7-9+ years with Master’s Degree5+ years working with cloud platforms5+ years of experience as an enterprise systems administrator in a client or server environment, including deployment automation toolsCISSP, Security+ CE or DoD 8570 Certification required (IAT Level II required / IAT Level III desired)Extensive knowledge of Windows based systems including Hardware, software, networking and storageProficiency in PowerShell and/or other scripting languagesWillingness to work after normal duty hours (nights and weekends) as neededPreferred Qualifications:ITIL v3 or 4 Foundation Certification highly desiredCertifications such as Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure, VMware VCP7 – CMA are highly desired (Computing domain certification is required)Security Clearance Requirements:US Citizenship required and active TS clearance adjudicated within the last 6 yearsCandidate must be open to CI polyPhysical Requirements:Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 75% of the timeMust be able to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machineryMust be able to position self to maintain office supplies on variable height shelving.The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situationsMust be able to observe and detect employee deviations from established policyFor all positions requiring access to
