Our Neuromodulation business is an area of expertise for Abbott.
This business includes implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to help people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders.
Our Solutions include Proclaim (TM) XR SCS System, the 1 Spinal cord stimulator on the market, Proclaim (TM) DRG Neurostimulator, the only FDA approved DRG therapy and a market leader in radiofrequency ablation therapy, Abbott RFA.
These non-opioid therapies allow us to provide interventional pain therapy to patients throughout the pain continuum.
Our deep brain stimulation technology for progressive diseases help people manage their Parkinson’s disease and essential tremor symptoms, steering away from side effects.
Our location in Plano, TX currently has an opportunity for a System Design Architect.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Abbott’s dynamic, growing new product development team committed to innovating the treatment of chronic pain and motion disorder.
The System Architect works independently to design new, best in class, implantable and external neuromodulation systems and devices for the treatment of either chronic pain or neurological disorders.
They work in a fast-paced cross-functional design environment, using the latest technologies and industry practices.
They are responsible for system architecture and interface definition/development for a Neuromodulation system including but not limited to algorithm development, data management, electro-mechanical interfaces, communication protocols, and cybersecurity.
They will provide instruction, oversight, and mentoring to other engineers and will push for excellence in themselves and the team.
