Your unique collection of experiences will enhance the Surfaceink community.Your primary duties and responsibilities:Engineer concepts, architecture, designs, prototypes, tests, and analyses, as well as drive products from architecture, through design, build, bring up, verification, and validationMaintain a strong client focus and communicate proactively, delivering concise data, asking the right questions, and raising the appropriate flagsEngage with clients, peers, project managers, and vendors, and coordinate with cross functional teams to develop and ship products for our clientsDisplay expert problem-solving and adaptation capabilities when changes occur to project scope, schedules, product requirements, and team compositionExecute product designs and production plans to meet or exceed the client expectations on performance, cost, and schedule Your qualifications:BSME with 7+ years experience, preferably in startups, Fortune 100 companies, and/or consultingBackground in managing and troubleshooting NPI cycles for high-volume consumer electronicsBroad, cross-functional understanding of product execution, as well as ability to see downstream effects of design decisions, perform risk assessment, and develop mitigation plansAbility to resolve complex issues in creative, efficient, and effective waysExperience and expertise in one or more of the following: rechargeable battery integration, complex plastic injection-molded parts, castings, sheet metal design, audio equipment, soft goods, IP ratings, sensors, mechanisms, and camerasAbout Surfaceink:Surfaceink (SI) is a thriving cross-functional Engineering and Product Development firm headquartered in downtown San Jose.
