Superintendent – Architectural and Finishes

The Role:As a Superintendent responsible for Architectural and Finish trades, you will be playing a critical role in building the world’s largest factory.

You will work primarily in the field managing Architectural and Finishes self-performed work and will be asked to work cross-functionally, interfacing with other trades, construction engineering, and manufacturing engineering while tracking a project’s schedule and budget.Responsibilities:* Plan and Lead Architectural and Finish self-performed work in the field.* Successfully manage foremen and crews working on large, design build construction projects.* Enforce and maintain high standards for safety, quality, and attitude on self-work crews.* Schedule and lead quality control and site safety inspections.* Develop, communicate, and improve upon logistics, schedules and other operational plans.* Interface with base build, construction engineering, and manufacturing engineering teams
– from install through start of production* Direct work in field, track changes, solve for issues before they delay work.* Work with user groups as needed to facilitate successful project completion.* Develop and maintain schedules and tools for communicating work plan, flow and progress to crews, other trades, project teams and management.* Work with procurement team to create biddable work packages; track against estimate to manage costs and update appropriate teams.Requirements:* Degree or evidence of exceptional experience in the field of architecture, engineering or construction management.* At least 4 years’ experience on large commercial or industrial projects with an emphasis in finishes and general construction.* Ability to read, interpret, and translate the following documents for field use:* Architectural and Finish plans and specifications.* Framing and wall type details.* Finishes as well as door and hardware schedules.* All aspects of building framing and finishes.* Shop drawings, fabrication drawings, erection drawings.* High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.* Willingness to spend a high percentage of time in the field and to get hands dirty as needed to complete objectives or find the correct information.* Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines and aggressive goals.* Experience managing self-perform teams in the field of: Framing, Drywall, Finishing, Painting, Tile, Millwork, Doors and Hardware.* Willingness to travel
