Structures Project Engineer – Job Description We are currently seeking resumes from qualified BStructures Project Engineer for our Phoenix, Arizona office. The role will be to design municipal and state projects for streets/highways/freeways involving bridges and civil structures. The applicant should be capable of managing budgets, discipline tasks, and track projects while being responsible for client deliverables. Structures Project Engineer – Required Skills : • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering • 8-10 years of experience in bridge design; • P.E. certification in Civil and/or Structural Engineering (AZ); • DOT experience; • Good interpersonal skills and capable of developing technical writing, and communications skills; • Ability to make mathematical computations and design engineering projects; • Ability to use engineering instruments and tools including computer workstations and bridge engineering software such as LEAP, MathCAD, RISA and LPile. • Demonstrate skill in MicroStation and AutoCAD. Other Requirements : The ideal candidate is self-motivated, technically proficient, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, and is team-oriented. InRoads and Civil 3D experience a plus. The ideal candidate is also willing to travel periodically within Arizona and neighboring southwestern states and be physically capable of performing field work. Working Conditions and Environment: This position will require general supervision and will have to use independent judgment within established guidelines. Generally uses advanced knowledge to analyze, interpret, or make deductions from varying facts or circumstances. Will need the ability to establish rapport quickly with others working on the same project, and be able to promote a positive team environment. A working knowledge of dealing with a diverse population while using tact, diplomacy, and respect.
