Position and Responsibilities As a Senior Electrical Engineer
– Controls at one of our client’s locations, you will manage the automation scope within projects and provide hands-on installation of new electrical equipment throughout the manufacturing plant’s network. You will also be involved in the electrical project management of external automation companies.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Install new equipment throughout the manufacturing plant’s network.
Management of automation scope within projects ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within specification and budget.
Project management of external automation companies.
Partner with different disciplines to deliver projects.
Responsible for control system design, specification, programming, testing and start up assistance.
Implement code changes under change control.
Perform concept analysis and justification of capital projects of a medium complexity.
Investigate and provide technical advice and support to production, maintenance, and other engineering disciplines.
Prepare equipment, process, safety, and materials specifications and conducts technical analysis of vendor proposals.
Develop control systems including servo motion and high-speed device integration.
Support the automation data collection and reporting systems, network systems, and automation system security.
Experience with configuring reports.
Education, Experience and Skills The successful candidate will possess the following: Accredited Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering required.
Professional Engineer license preferred.
7+ years of practical electrical systems design experience; preferably within a consulting organization.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail abilities.
Excellent multitasking abilities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
