Solution Architect – Core Clinical Technologies

Moffitt is seeking a Solution Architect to join the Enterprise Architecture team focused on clinical applications and diagnostic imaging.

The successful candidate will partner with the business and other Moffitt Technologies teams in defining robust integrated technology platforms and solutions designed to solve complex business problems, in support of Moffitt’s strategic imperatives.

Focused on a specific service line, the Solution Architect will translate business needs into standard business capabilities, architectural patterns and roadmaps, exploring the ability to leverage existing technology investments.

Solution architecture (SA) is a complex process
– with many sub-processes
– that bridges the gap between business problems and technology solutions.

It encompasses:

• Finding the best tech solution among all possible to solve the existing business problems

• Describing the structure, characteristics, behavior, and other aspects of software to project stakeholders

• Defining features, phases, and solution requirements

• Providing specifications according to which the solution is defined, managed, and delivered

This is a challenging position that requires strong solution design skills and a wide range of cross-disciplinary knowledge in clinical patient applications, diagnostic imaging systems, hardware, software, and external system interfaces.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a diverse background in clinical patient care apps and diagnostic imaging, experience working with IT systems and technology and a broad view of how these systems interact to deliver quality patient care.

The ideal candidate will have certifications or work experience designing architectural solutions and working with a cross section of business and technology resources to execute those designs.

Credentials and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree

Minimum 10 years of experience designing and deploying patient care and imaging systems

Minimum 2 years of experience within solution architecture

Experience in Design and Implementation of health care IT systems across a wide variety of healthcare areas as well as strong general understanding of technology platforms

Strong influencing and communication skills.

Agile experience preferred (at scale)
