Software Architect – 35917

The Alion team is responsible for managing the enterprise architecture, engineering technical solutions to address capability gaps, and the development, sustainment, and modernization of enterprise applications.

The Software Architect on the Alion team will have experience designing, developing, and deploying mission critical applications. This role will help design and implement software architecture for emerging systems. We are looking for an intellectually curious person with an unquenchable thirst for knowledge that will thrive in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Requirements

• Installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and working with lab for various networks.
• Experience with presenting to senior leadership.
• Development/Automation, scripting experience using Python or Ansible a plus.
• Experience with supporting collocated networks, Cloud Service Providers, AWS, Azure Google Cloud Platform, etc. is a plus
• Strong knowledge of cyber security concepts and defensive measures

Qualifications

• BS or MS Degree in CS, CE, or EE with software emphasis and relevant work experience
• Experience in software design, engineering, and development skills, including familiarity with modern software development practices and tools
• 10+ years of experience in software development, with 4+ years in technical leadership and architecture roles
• Broad automation experience in build, test, configuration, and deployment in complex environments from development to production
• Strong systems administration background (Linux, Windows, virtualized, or cloud)
• SCM experience (Git) and knowledge of branch strategies
• Strong experience in multiple languages (C/C++, C#, JavaScript, Python, Java, or others)
• Must be a US Citizen with an Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
