DescriptionThe Stanley Consultants Water Resources Market team is a group of geotechnical, structural, civil, and water resources engineers that delivers heavy civil engineering projects focused on dams, locks, flood risk reduction, river restoration, water control structures, hydropower, and earth retaining structures for clients nationally and globally.
We are seeking motivated candidates that enjoy working in a team environment on challenging projects to join our group in one of our Water Market offices.Essential duties include:Technical analysis, design, preparation of construction documents, reports, and cost estimates for structural, infrastructure, environmental, water resources, and energy projectsFocus on structural engineering analysis and design for a wide range of concrete, steel, and other structural elements for engineering planning, analysis, and design projectsField work and travel may be requiredFamiliarity with drawings, specifications, and basic structural engineering software such as STAAD and MathCAD is requiredExperience with USACE structural standards, construction observation, geotechnical, and soils engineering skills are a plusLeading structural design team on projects for a wide range of structural and general civil engineering projects and develop your career towards more technical and/or managerial responsibilitiesSelf-motivated subject matter expert; demonstrated through participating in local professional organizations, preparing, and presenting market specific papers and presentationsDesire and ability to manage and mentor staffRequirements include:Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering; Structural emphasis is desiredMaster of Science degree in structural or geotechnical engineering is a plusPossess at least 10+ years of relevant work experiencePossess a Professional Engineer (PE) license or possess the ability to obtain within six months of hireApplied knowledge of structural engineering theory and principlesExperience with hydropower and hydraulic structuresExperience with earth and water retaining structures.CAD (Microstation preferred) and structural analysis softwareStrong oral communication and technical writing skillsAbility to work in a team environment and lead a team of engineersAbility to manage structural design projectsFamiliarity with federal and state government guidelines, policies, and procedures is a plusAs a member-owned company for over 100 years, we have been improving lives by surpassing complex challenges in power generation and delivery, transportation, water, governmental and military facilities, building services, and the environment.
