Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Acoustics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12 years of experience in acoustic designs (e.g., micro transducer design, device acoustic design, acoustic simulations using finite element analysis, etc.).
  • Experience in an acoustic lab and CAD software.

Preferred qualifications:

  • PhD in Acoustics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience working on hearing aids.
  • Experience working with algorithm architects on joint acoustic and algorithm designs.
  • Understanding of theoretical acoustics.

In this role, you will be working on a small team that is focused on innovation and pushing the boundaries of what is possible with audio by running fast iterations of innovating, building, and testing ideas.

You will be working on architecting and prototyping audio technology solutions and be responsible for acoustic architectures/designs.

You will work with algorithm architects in developing technical solutions that leverage both acoustic and algorithmic innovations.

You will be responsible for running an experimental acoustic lab and designing experiments.

You will interact with cross-functional teams to get device prototypes built, validate, and experiment using the prototype platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Use your subject matter expertise in acoustics to develop solutions to hard audio problems.
  • Work with algorithm architects to develop technical solutions that leverage both acoustic and algorithmic innovations.
  • Interface with internal and external vendors for device prototype designs and builds.
  • Run an experimental acoustic lab.
  • Lead acoustic experiment design and execution.
