Edifecs is looking for a high performing, experienced Senior Site Reliability Architect to join our growing Engineering team.

As one of our first SRE hires, you will join the team that has ownership of the overall performance and reliability of Community’s infrastructure, robustness of the deployment pipeline, as well as timely and effective incident response and resolution.

In this role, you will be focused on working with teams to design and build platform solutions to address scaling challenges, scale our CI/CD processes and keep all user-facing services and other production systems running smoothly.

As a Senior Site Reliability Architect, you will lead high impact projects, mentor team members technically, support team priorities, and help foster good communication with stakeholders.

You can expect to build greenfield projects and mitigate some amount of legacy infrastructure.

What you will do: Build and maintain platform solutions to ensure maximum uptime and predictability while preventing outages and service interruptions or degradations Design and implement logging, monitoring, and customer lifecycle management services for large scale distributed system, centrally addressing the common challenges and requirements for all product teams Focus on efficiency and reduce toils, identify and address automation and tooling gaps Design and build the tools, frameworks, systems, and processes that our engineers use to build, integrate, deploy, scale, and manage their software, providing efficiency, agility and flexibility for the full CI/CD lifecycle while holding high standard of quality Work with IT/Security/compliance, translate business requirement on security to engineering tasks, establish security standards, best practices and security ownership within engineering team.

Drive security review, include automated security scanning as part of CI/CD, and lead the mitigation efforts across the product team Predict and provide notice of potential system vulnerabilities for current and future solutions and implementations.

Provide specific recommendations and guidance to address such vulnerabilities Scale solutions from proofs-of-concept to full production systems.

Participate in 24×7 site reliability rotations and escalation workflows, and keep improving the process Proactively monitor, measure, and improve all areas of infrastructure and operations.

Contribute to capacity planning, demand forecasting, software performance analysis, and systems tuning.

Minimize the risk of reliability-related failure outcomes as pertaining to durability, availability, performance, and correctness.

Collaborate effectively with other engineers and help overall knowledge sharing across our organization What you will bring: 7-10 years of software development experience, preferably in cloud (SaaS/PaaS) context Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal direction under tight, but reasonable deadlines.

Proficiency in one or more of the languages: Java, Python, shell script and Go In-depth, hands-on experience with Linux, containerization and cloud architectures Extensive experience in production level Kubernetes clusters and related tooling Extensive experience with a public cloud provider (AWS is preferred) and at least one infrastructure as code solutions (e.g.

Terraform, CloudFormation) Fluent in CI/CD methodologies, procedures and tooling such as Jenkins, supporting large scale enterprise level cloud services Experience in troubleshooting/debugging application and infrastructure issues in complex cloud native architectures Experience in operating production SaaS environments Solid application security knowledge and best practices in the cloud context Excellent communication and documentation skills Experience working in company that practices both an Agile and DevOps mentality About Edifecs Edifecs is a premier technology company in the U.S.
