Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer Department: Quality Assurance Reports To: Quality Assurance Director The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer works in a team environment specifically focusing on program execution/continual improvement efforts relative to Quality Management programs.
In support of the overall strategy this individual will identify quality gaps, define and manage high-value quality projects to completion, track project effectiveness, and provide support to the company in nonconformance resolution.
Duties and Responsibilities: Administer the facility Quality Nonconformance Reporting system Track metrics associated with nonconformances and present to facility and corporate management.
Analyze data to identify and drive continuous improvement programs.
Lead cross functional teams to determine root causes of quality non-conformances by utilizing a structured problem-solving approach (8D), quality tools, and various data sources.
Create and present customer facing reports summarizing findings and next steps.
Key contributor on production and engineering projects.
Facilitate the Management of Change process Work with the sales team to communicate changes to customers.
Plan and conduct internal, customer, and supplier audits, as needed.
Interface with sales/ marketing, engineering teams, production teams, and customer contacts Present data analysis and investigation findings to internal/external customers, including facility/corporate management.
Ensure compliance with and maintain ISO 9001-2015 certification requirements.
Serve as a System administrator for Quality Management Software (Master Control) Provide input to the Quality Assurance Director to define the yearly quality strategy.
Execute, support, and promote the quality strategy.
Skills and Specifications: Excellent analysis, observation, and decision-making skills.
Sound organizational and planning skills with a solid attention to detail Ability to work independently, self-directed, and solutions oriented.
Highly effective communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills Proficient with Microsoft Office products and statistical analysis software.
The following ASQ certifications: CQE, CQA, CSSGB would be considered a plus.
Education and Experience : A Bachelors’ degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or other science related field is strongly preferred, with 4 years of industrial experience is preferred.
Candidates without degrees must have 10 years of work experience in a quality role.
Experience in ISO 9001 and/or Quality Assurance, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing is considered a plus.
Possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively across multiple levels of the organization through oral and written communication.
