Find your future with us The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Machinist that is located in Ridley Park, PA.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: Setup, edit and operate a variety of conventional and numerically controlled machines to fabricate flight critical aircraft components.
Interpret blueprints to determine proper cutting tools, setup methods, and sequence of machining operations, speeds, feeds, and layout of work that is to be machined.
Set up and operate numerically controlled lathes, mills, jig-bores, and grinders.
Develop machine programs and/or edits to facilitate emergent production requirements.
Initiate probing sequences and adjust machine programs accordingly.
Troubleshoot programs and run first article prove outs on production assets.
Use tooling and/or holding fixtures, select cutting tools, mount and adjust machines and adjust speeds and feeds.
Sharpen tool bits and other tools and replace special form tools as needed.
Plan sequence of operations Review completed work to verify dimensional accuracy and conformance with specifications.
Perform work in accordance with oral or written instructions and in conformance with Company standards of safety, workmanship, and good housekeeping practices.
May provide instruction to employees designated to assist with the above duties.
Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements: This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R.
§ 120.15 is required.
“US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee Required Qualifications: A minimum of four (4) or more years of related work experience Ability to read, write and follow verbal and/or written instruction Preferred Qualifications: Strong trigonometric math skills Certification or equivalent experience in G-code programming Certification or equivalent experience in CATIA or similar CAD program Certification or equivalent experience in blueprint analysis Certification or equivalent experience Geometric Dimensioning and tolerance Familiarity with Siemens and Fanuc control panels Typical Education/Experience: High school diploma/GED and/or vocational/trade school training Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or equivalent and four (4) years of experience in machining and fabricating complex parts and/or tools.
Relocation This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation.
Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
Additional Information The selected candidate must be able to work any shift, as assigned.
This is an hourly position governed by the IAM Collective Bargaining agreement.
