The Senior IT Data Modeler is responsible for the collection, management, and analysis of internal data to support modeling initiatives.

This position is part of the Information Technology> and can be remote from anywhere in the United States.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Development of detailed conceptual, logical, and physical data models that support business needs and operational efficiency.
• The implementation of relational database systems, operational data stores, data marts, and data lakes in a cloud environment (Snowflake, Redshift).
• Design of data transformation processes and tools that normalize, cleanse, augment, and attribute incoming and outgoing data from various sources.
• Conducting research and performing impact analysis to resolve design efficiency compared to development level of effort.
• Participation in the requirements gathering process to build business and technical requirements focused on data and data transport use cases.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience plus 10+ years of directly related professional experience and deep technical abilities in one or more primary data management products or technologies.
• 7+ years of professional experience with data modeling and lineage tools (web based or any other) and 4 + years of experience working data integration/Bi tools and working extensively with tool metadata.
• Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
• Experience working and leading Data Models in multiple subject areas and domains.
• Handling schema evolution and efficient collaboration/planning with data engineers on implementation.

  Experience with supporting software development lifecycles, including virtualization technologies, automated deployment processes (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment), and DevOps cloud deployment.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Experience working in an agile environment.
• Experience in MPP Databases (snowflake, Redshift) Modeling.
• Experience working with data sources like SAP , Salesforce .
