Position Summary.
Ensure infrastructure designs are built to conform with functional and non-functional requirements.
Work closely with the development, product management, other architects, enterprise architecture, security and infrastructure teams to provide leadership in application design and implementation.
Convert functional business requirements into engineering specification.
Ensure a clear process for bringing in new technology or integrating with a new third-party.

Essential Job Functions.
Build and integrate information systems to meet the company’s needsAssess the systems architecture currently in place and work with technical staff to recommend solutions to improve itResolve technical problems as they arisePartner with engineering staff to deliver business outcomesPartner with 3rd party vendors to integrate capabilities as required by the solution under developmentPartner with Senior Architects during large, cross-functional project discovery to develop high level architecture and designDraft, review and maintain architectural diagrams, interface specifications and other architectural artifacts as required by the delivery teams to clearly communicate the needs of the design under developmentInteract with and present to engineering and product management, with the presence to influence and drive the decision makers to appropriate architecturesIdentify technology overlaps and gaps and inform Senior Architecture staffAssess emerging technologies and make appropriate recommendations based on business needsMentor engineering team members in infrastructure development principles, patterns, processes and practicesContribute to Solutions Architecture Community of PracticeMust be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Minimum Position Qualifications.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field5+ years of experience taking a lead role in building complex software ad automation systems that has been successfully delivered to customers5+ years proven track record of designing and delivering large scale, high quality systems10+ years of experience in software or infrastructure development domain and principles including design patterns and code structureAny strong knowledge of non-functional requirements related to operationalizing processesProven knowledge of technology to support omnichannel experiencesProven knowledge of service-oriented architecture/Cloud.
Desired Previous Experience/Education.
Any demonstrated written, oral and presentation/public speaking communication skills, as well as demonstrated interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate/work effectively with diverse groups of peopleAny experience delivering innovative results in previous roles and strong knowledge of industry trends and industry competitionAny demonstrated capability to build, mentor and maintain an inclusive team-based environmentAny experience implementing/integrating open source technologies in high volume production environments and strong knowledge of agile methodology3+ years of experience working in high volume ecommerce/retail sites.
