RESPONSIBILITIES: Kforce has a client seeking a Senior Design Engineer (PCA/PCBA) in Fort Collins, CO.
Essential responsibilities (But not limited to the following): Participate with project teams to develop, debug, and release workstation computer motherboard and subsystem designs and components Review and evaluate electrical designs and solution elements for compliance with technology and development guidelines and standards Analyze, improve, and validate digital and analog circuits per specifications to insure features and performance meet specifications Provide tangible feedback to ensure solutions are aligned to best-practices and meet the highest product quality Independently triage, characterize, troubleshoot issues and provide detail for technology experts to advise, resolve, and approve any required changes Validate high-speed IO (PCIe, Thunderbolt, USB, SATA) signal-integrity and work closely with component owners and development partners to report and improve test results Coordinate validation of PCAs, components, cables with validation partners and ensure test results are communicated and resolved Coordinate continuing product development, test, system verification, and validation, throughout the development process and into production release Document test results via first article & developmental test reports; Develop Design FMEA as part of project team deliverables Assist in the create of customer specifications, documentation, white papers for system and components sales, service, and support Job Requirements: REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering Minimum of five years of practical engineering experience in a complex electrical design role Experience with computer architecture and components Experience designing and integrating electronic components, integrated circuitry, and validation preferably related to computer architecture Previous experience in HW test and qualification for new products A passion for electrical design supported by the independent drive and curiosity to solve complex issues Extensive knowledge of digital and analog circuitry review and validation Understanding of material properties with hardware and electrical component design Experience using signal integrity and protocol analysis equipment to troubleshoot and validate electrical circuits and interfaces; Experience performing high-speed signal measurements preferred Understanding of empirical analysis, modeling and testing methodologies to validate product designs and specifications Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; Strong troubleshooting/debugging skills Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills in a large, diverse environment Proven ability to manage time effectively and tackle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Mastery in English language Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
