Senior Collaboration, Solutions Architect

Your Role:

Under the general direction of the Vice President of IT, the incumbent will be responsible for developing the overall vision and strategy of collaboration solutions under the Office 365 platform. The incumbent will foster a working partnership with business users and offer guidance on best practices for collaboration and process automation. This role will oversee all content and work processes of SharePoint and Teams and working to iteratively expand the capabilities to add business value. The ideal candidate is versatile, web savvy, well organized, and knowledgeable about Office 365’s collaborative capabilities. 

1.      Stay informed on the newest changes to the Office 365 platform and integration points to determine their viability and applicability at to enhance business value and maximize ROI

Change Management:

1.      Determine change management plan for Office 365 roll-out and subsequent changes to the platform. The plan includes:

a.      Roll-out Timeline

b.      Communication and Excitement Plan

c.      Training Plan

2.      Developing out-of-the-box methods to generate user adoption and to facilitate engagement

Information Architecture:

1.      Determine and create Information Architecture that is scalable structure for SharePoint Online and Teams

2.      Develop best practices for Information Architecture

3.      Ensure context-logical navigation throughout SharePoint Online sites

4.      Design a new model for flow of company information to the organization

Management:

1.      Establish a Governance Forum and conduct monthly Office 365 User Group meetings and convey information to the team

2.      Works with IT leadership and business partners to develop collaborative Office 365 strategies and solutions to align with business objectives.

3.      Works with IT leadership and business partners to increase engagement across the organization around our strategic initiatives

4.      Manages business unit/department processes and practices to ensure Office 365 solutions provide maximum benefit

5.      Measures and reports business benefit of provided solutions

Support and Services:

1.      Create and maintain documentation for developed solutions

2.      Provide daily production system support when required, including outside of normal business hours on occasion

3.      Determine model for training end users and teams on all solutions and functionality

Job Requirements:

What You Bring to the Table:

•      Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Management

•      Overall, 4 – 8 years of experience in Information Technology in either a developer or SharePoint role

•      4+ years in HTML/CSS/JavaScript/jQuery

•      3+ years in Office 365

•      Requires 4+ years with both front & back-end SharePoint experience.

•      Familiarity with SQL Server

•      Excellent understanding of software life cycle stages

•      Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
