Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate leader to manage and develop our Security Architecture team. This transformative group of professionals provides security and technology solutions to Citizens IT Product teams as part of the Next Generation Technology (NGT) program.
Your team will own providing security requirements and architecture guidance to project teams and business partners, and you will have experience in building teams of customer-facing roles with technical expertise in security.
Responsibilities will be to:
- Hire, on-board, develop, coach, mentor and evaluate a high performing, diverse and inclusive team of Security Architects. Set a clear bar for role excellence, collaboration, and delivering impact.
- Develop teams that incorporate a mix of expertise across security and systems architecture including AWS and Microsoft Azure Cloud, monitoring and Identity and Access Management – while ensuring that the team can land an end-to-end security value prop (i.e. Zero Trust).
- Coach and enable your team to accelerate security projects to production, including guidance on architectural design, technical recommendations, blocker escalations and technical resource orchestration.
- Assist information security teams to align standards, frameworks, and security with overall business and technology strategy
- Design security architecture elements to mitigate threats as they emerge
- Identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommending changes or enhancements
- Develop the enterprise security architecture framework, blueprints, and patterns, as well as setting forth the standards across multiple disciplines
- Educate and guide product and engineering teams in their vision, security solutions, and design within the information security portfolio
- Identify, communicate, and maintain awareness of current and emerging security threats, industry trends, and best practices to promote innovation across various products
- Ensure that all security architecture models and implementations can be traced to specific business requirements, policies, and key principles
- Assist in the evaluation and approval of exceptions to the IT enterprise security architecture framework
- Own and manage how the big picture of system functionality and processes connect and work together within the security model
- Supporting development and submissions of budgetary and investment plans
Qualifications
Experience and Skills:
- 2 or more years of leading security solution design and security architecture experience, working as a security architect with business stakeholders
- 3 or more years of cybersecurity experience
- 6 years of progressive experience performing definition and implementation of enterprise solutions using leading software and hardware platforms; experience with backend integration to legacy applications and to cloud computing environments
- An Agile mindset with experience using Agile frameworks
- Knowledge of network security architecture, platform security architecture, cloud, application and middleware security architecture, and identity access management architecture
- Requirements analysis and strategic planning experience in a multiplatform environment
- Experience designing and implementing security solutions for applications, infrastructure, and networks
- Strong consulting skills, with excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred experience:
- 1 year of experience in IT delivery projects and system analysis Agile processes
- Experience leveraging design thinking concepts to build digital experiences to meet customer needs
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required (Information Systems, Software Engineering or related disciplines preferred
- CISSP, SABSA, and ISSAP preferred

Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday
