Thank you!GENERAL DESCRIPTIONPerforms general electrical work in the construction, repair, and alteration of electrical systems and fixtures in housing complexes.
Analyzes defects or malfunctions in electrical systems; replaces worn parts andperforms similar duties necessary to repair electrical systems.
Trouble shoots and diagnoses electrical problems and makes repairs as needed.
Inspects electrical systems and ensures that they are safe and in compliance with the National Electrical Code.
Conducts training when needed to teach co-workers fundamentals of electrical practices.
Performs preventative maintenance on electrical systems with infrared temperature probe and makes necessary repairs or changes.
Installs complete electrical systems when needed.
Changes out complete electrical panels and meter bases.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTSMust be licensed (Limited, Intermediate, or Unlimited) as a NC Electrical Contractor with the NC State Board of Examiners.
License must be assigned to Raleigh Housing Authority for the duration of employment.
Visual Assessment Certification for Lead Based Paint (may be obtained post-offer).
Valid NC Drivers License required.
