– Advanced Electro-Optical (AEO) Engineering has an upcoming growth opportunity for an experienced Systems Engineer to join our airborne (EO/IR) surveillance and targeting sensor systems product development team.

You will be a key contributor joining a dynamic system engineering team on a new high-profile program developing the next generation of airborne advanced Electro-Optical systems.

Responsibilities will include leading requirements management in DOORS/DOORS Next Gen, developing functional and physical architectures, and defining the preliminary technical baseline.

This role will be crucial to providing technical systems engineering oversight and guidance through preliminary and detailed design phases of the program.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and have demonstrated expertise in DOORS, specification management, system modeling and interface development experience.

Main tasks include: Requirement management and allocation in DOORS and/or DOORS Next Gen Defining system architecture, requirement specifications, Interface Design Descriptions (IDDs) and Interface Control Documents (ICDs) Performing trade studies on subsystem architectures and designs Maintain / manage external and internal specifications and VCRM (Verification Cross Reference Matrix) Coordinate design reviews and customer deliverables Technical presentations to both internal and external customers This requisition is for future work contingent on contract award estimated for Fall 2021.

If you meet the requirements you will be contacted by the Recruiter Required Skills: Minimum 8 years of systems engineering experience to include airborne EOIR system test, integration, verification and validation testing, product transition to production; airborne EO/IR hardware design and/or systems engineering experience in a development and/or production program.

E xperience in designing architectures, generating requirements, design reviews (PDR & CDR), integration and verification activities across the SE lifecycle Prior experience working with multi-disciplined teams; ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with all levels of the organization Strong technical writing, presentation, and oral communication skills Demonstrated problem solving, organization, coordination, and planning skills An active and in-scope DOD Secret US security clearance is required.

Desired Skills: Prior Systems Engineering experience with airborne EO sensor applications Experience using Model Based System Engineering tools (DOORS Next Gen, Cameo) Experience around emulator design and development Experience in system cyber security frameworks and architectures Experience with Open Mission System (OMS) aircraft interfaces Execution and delivery of preliminary and critical design review artifacts Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related STEM discipline, such as ME, EE, AE, Math, Physics, Optics, or related technical field Desired Education: Master’s Degree (M.S.) or PhD in ME, EE, AE, Math, Physics, Optics or related technical field 185479 Raytheon is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
