Principal Salesforce Architect

Our Salesforce CRM capabilities, which drive consumers to our hybris-based capabilities deployed in the Google Cloud Platform, are at the center of that growth strategy and your role will be to help take our platform to the next level as part of our broader digital strategy.

The primary responsibility for this position will be leading the development of new capabilities within our Salesforce engineering team. That team is a mix of both internal resources and technology partners operating in an on/offshore blended model.

What you will do:

  • Product expert for Salesforce Marketing Cloud to assist business units with designing, developing, testing, integration, deployment of Marketing cloud solutions, to help maintain, develop tools, standards and best practices as well as shared services and reference implementations. 
  • Responsible for solution design, development and maintenance of ETL processes from external systems to Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Responsible for API architecture and integration (internal and external to Salesforce)
  • Responsible for solution design, development and maintenance of integrations with Tealium AudienceStream
  • Oversee and mentor work performed by 2 direct reports
  • Advanced SQL & data modeling knowledge to support ad-hoc back-end DB audience creation & integration as well as maintain and expand a scalable platform side data model to support user created filtered data extension-based audiences
  • Cross functional leader for topics related to web data collection, personalization & marketing/re-marketing
  • Translate complex user requirements into enterprise wide, scalable marketing automation solutions
  • Participate in marketing planning & campaign design to ensure optimal usage of current and future marketing tools

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer Science with focus on Digital/Web Development
  • 7+ years of experience in Salesforce architecture, design and development.
  • Thorough understanding of Agile Development (preferably Scaled Agile) and DevOps models and their effective use in a mixed on/offshore development model
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills are a must.

    Advanced development experience using Ampscript, SQL & SSJS

  • Previous exposure to HTML/CSS
  • Subject Matter Expert for usage of Email Studio, Journey Builder, MobileConnect, MobilePush, Automation Studio & Cloud Page components of Marketing Cloud.

    Experience with Reply Mail Management, Sender profile features

  • Ownership of system administration related to Marketing Cloud (including
    – Working knowledge of administrative operations such as managing Business Unit, Users, All Contact counts)
  • Experience with eCommerce technologies, preferably SAP Commerce / Hybris using versions 6.x and above.
  • Knowledge of Integration technologies (Web Services, XML, MuleSoft, ActiveMQ, ETL tools)
  • Experience building & managing data pipelines
  • A passion for learning new technologies, applying technology in the solution of business problems and solving problems to root cause.
  • The ability to work effectively in cross-functional team environments to establish goals, strategies, project plans and to get things done.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience working with external development partners and business product owners
  • Proficiency with the Atlassian toolset, Jenkins and other CI/CD technologies and code management.
