The Principal Product Design Engineering position will perform an integral technical role in developing tactical and strategic repair processes for avionics products. The position is part of the Global Repair & Overhaul Engineering Organization (GROE), Avionics-Electronics (AvEl) group. This position is located at Honeywell Deer Valley, but consideration will be given to working at other AESC sites. · Drive the engineering activities performed at all sites · Globally lead workscoping and value engineering initiatives to ensure best practice is captured and becomes standard practice at all sites · Engage with site engineers: Product Support Engineer (PSE) workscoping and shop momentum, · Repair Development Engineer (RDE) value engineering, and Test Systems Engineer (TSE) test equipment repair and improvement · Perform the duties of an RDE, PSE, and TSE · Lead other global R&O business strategy projects relating to growth, capital, work instruction efficiency, Product Management Team, scrap, backlog and TAT Projects · Represent aftermarket on In-Service Resolution Boards (IRB), work with OEM engineering and engage in CBM, PAC and GSI meetingsYOU MUST HAVE· Bachelor of Science Engineering Degree· 5 years’ aviation repair industry experienceWE VALUE· Degree in Electrical Engineering· Extensive knowledge of avionics products, specifically: Inertial Reference Units(IRUs), Sensors, Traffic Avoidance Collision Systems, Connected-AircraftSystems· Highly motivated, goal and business results oriented with bias for action anddisciplined execution· Understanding of FAR 21 (OEM-Factory) and FAR 145 (Repair Station)regulations· Understanding of specific guidelines DO-178, DO-254 and DO-160· Understanding and compliance to import and export regulations· Knowledge of part interchangeability and Configuration Management Additional InformationJOB ID: HRD144081Category: EngineeringLocation: 21111 N. 19th Ave (Deer Valley),Phoenix,Arizona,85027,United StatesExemptDue to US export control laws, must be a US citizen, permanent resident or have protected status.Engineering (GLOBAL)Honeywell is an equal opportunity employer.
