Working alongside the business partnering teams have co-authored strategic plans with their respective business leaders, deliver on the roadmap making technical and design trade-offs to strike the right balance between speed and quality which enable the transition to a net zero future.

The core areas of responsibility include outlining and driving our investments in growth aligned to corporate initiatives in Gas Pipeline Safety, AI & Machine Learning, internet of things, and other strategic initiatives aligned to National Grid corporate and business unit strategy.

You will promote agile working practices and partner with the IT engineering team to define, design and ensure the product vision is achievable.

You will bring the customer voice to the conversation and ensure the delivery of value to our customers.

Additionally, you will help inspire the team to achieve our product portfolio vision by leveraging Agile, Digital & Product methodologies, as well as own and drive the development and release of innovative products, features, and services to answer our most pressing business needs.Key Accountabilities Lead one or more squads within a larger cross functional Product Team Act as the voice of the customer in the definition of innovative digital solutions Work with strategic design to gain an understanding of user personas, pain points and journeys knowing how that informs the roadmap Partner with Gas business stakeholders in the development of strategic technology and digital roadmaps to enable long term growth and is in alignment with business strategy Responsible for working with assigned Gas business Product line leaders to analyze complex business and IT environments to identify, innovative, appropriate, and cost-effective solutions.

Developing robust investment plans and managing demand for IT capabilities which ensure alignment of IT and business objectives.

Work closely with the program delivery leads to develop and deliver IT solutions to meet the business’s requirements with specific focus on benefits realization, Developing feature lists, user stories, and roadmaps Collaborate with Gas business Product Line leaders to identify critical business objectives and associated key results (OKRs) Connect OKRs to KPIs and metrics to the product team development plans, key feature sets, and ongoing business case Support and foster innovative technologies to deliver new ideas that enable business transformation Ensure high levels of ongoing system and application performance in production environments Ensure technology processes are conducted in line with applicable standards and company policies Performs other job-related duties as assigned Flexibility to travel as role requiresSupervisory/Interpersonal Experience Required Able to influence and manage internal and external stakeholders.

A good track record of interfacing with direct and third-party suppliers delivering services in onshore/offshore model.Qualifications Educated to degree level, MBA or other relevant advanced degree an advantage 8+ years relevant professional experience Deep expertise in business case modeling Able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams Able to solve problems with agility Able to distill complex information into a consumable format for variety of audiences Able to communicate effectively to senior stakeholders Excellent senior stakeholder management experience Extremely detail oriented and strong customer service focus Excellent verbal and written communication skills Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to work with innovative solutionsExperience Required: Ability to build successful working relationships and partnerships with senior business and IT management; demonstrate influence over peers and more senior managers in a virtual team environment Ability to lead small high performing agile teams to deliver successful outcomes in a complex, multi-national, matrixed, and multi-sourced environment Innovative and critical thinker who is willing to take calculated risks to satisfy needs of the business while working within the strategy and enterprise architecture policies Understands business value levers, and can take high-level business concepts and turn them into tangible value cases Project/change management experience in leading large and complex programs of activity Previous experience is likely to have been gained in a consultancy environment, IT organization within a large multi-national or in a business role with significant exposure to IT Experience working in Scaled Agile environment Prior experience in the utility industry is a plusMore InformationNational Grid is an equal opportunity employer that values a broad diversity of talent, knowledge, experience and expertise.
