Louis, MO, part of Boeing Global Services, Engineering Support and Sustainment organization has a need for Level 4 Systems Engineer to support MQ-25 Electrical Support Equipment as a part of the SE System Engineering and Integration Team (SEIT).
The role will be responsible for interfacing with the MQ-25 Air Vehicle team, MQ-25 Support Systems Chief Engineer, and MQ-25 Support Equipment design team to identify required SE for testing and/or troubleshooting the various components on the aircraft.
Evaluation of existing government-owned equipment (non-developmental) will be required to determine if existing equipment can be utilized versus development of new equipment.
The role will be responsible for establishing the overall requirements for performance and testing of the approved SE and work with the Support Systems Chief Engineer to identify, coordinate, and verify the Air Vehicle Support functions are incorporated to conduct aircraft level testing and maintenance actions.
The role will be responsible for developing Preliminary Support Equipment Recommendation Data (PSERDs), and Memorandum of Understandings (MOUs) to document the component level requirements for Electrical SE.
The role will be involved in the review and approval of the MQ-25 Logistic Support Analysis (LSA).
The role will be responsible for coordinating and conducting testing of SE for First Article Testing and maintenance demos.
The role may require a small amount of travel to supplier and customer facilities to formulate requirements, influence design and integrate on-aircraft support equipment.
A proactive and highly motivated systems engineer capable of multi-tasking and working with minimal supervision is required.
This position will report to the SE Chief Engineer/SEIT Senior Manager and work for the MQ-25 SEIT Lead.
Position Responsibilities: Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
Evaluates customer and /operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements.
Integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
Ensures analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors are integrated into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
Develops the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.
Resolves cross-functional technical issues.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): A Bachelor”s Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry A Bachelors of Science Degree or higher in Electrical/Aerospace Engineering or Physics.
Experience in a role that required strong analytical, communication and problem solving skills.
5 years of experience accurately and productively reviewing, commenting, resolving and approving technical designs and data packages.
5 years of experience utilizing specialized knowledge of techniques to identify a customer”s organization, capabilities, practices, support resources, preferences, problems, and other constraints in order to provide effective product support and technical.
Experience in integrated technical planning, requirements and functional analysis, requirements management and verification.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Held an active U.S.
Security clearance in the past 24 months.
Experience with military program processes and specifications for design, test and documentation.
Experience working in the Navy.
Typical Education/ Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g.
Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years” related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g.
PhD4 years” related work experience, Master7 years” related work experience).
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
