Microsoft Azure – Infrastructure Engineer – PSTS

This is a Full-time position in Atlanta, GA posted January 10, 2022.

Drives customer initiatives in collaboration with customers and participates in both pre-and post-sales (e.g., deployment) efforts.

The SA is a technical, customer-facing role that is accountable for the end-to-end customer cloud deployment experience.

SA’s own the Azure technical customer engagement, including architectural design sessions, specific implementation projects and/or proofs-of-concept, and deployment.

Required Technical Skills:

• Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends

• Solid understanding of cloud virtualization, storage, and networking

• Understanding of cloud governance technologies for cost management and control

• Understanding of common database technologies such as SQL Database/Server, Oracle, MySQL

• Deep technical knowledge and experience in Hybrid Cloud Platforms: Microsoft Azure Stack HCI, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Edge Compute solutions and design.

• Working knowledge with AGILE development, SCRUM, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)

• Solid understanding of modern DevOps practices, including automation, continuous delivery, continuous deployment, and continuous integration methodologies

Required Non-Technical Skills:

• Proven track record of building deep technical relationships with senior executives and growing cloud consumption share in large or highly strategic accounts

• Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts & ensuring follow-through

• Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences

• Prior work experience in a consulting/architecture position within a software & services company.

Ability to create customer-facing use cases which represent a business case measured in TCO or ROI

• Problem-solving mentality, leveraging internal and/or external resources

• Exceptional verbal and written communication.

Preferred Technical Certifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

• MCSE Cloud Platform and Infrastructure

• MCSE Data Management and Analytics

• Google Cloud Foundational, Associate, or Professional Certification

• Google Professional Cloud Architect (PCA)

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate and/or Professional

Preferred Project Experience Types/Qualities:

• Deep understanding of cloud-based Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery practices

• 5-8 years of experience designing and delivering cloud solutions on an enterprise scale

• 5+ years of experience with creating pilots, prototypes, and proof-of-concept to provide validation of specific scenarios

• 4-6 years of experience providing cloud solutions, including hybrid solutions on-premises or in the cloud, lift-and-shift initiatives, migrations, and upgrades

Travel Requirements:

• To be close to our customers this role will be located primarily in the Atlanta, GA metro area (or preferably close to an international airport)

• Up to 50% travel may be required, but all candidates should be able to work independently in a remote work environment
